Testing the Ruby Installer for Windows

The latest release of the Ruby Installer for Windows has seen a number of
problems that we should have caught in testing before the release. This
shows that what testing was done was inadequate. Its obvious to me that with
the limited resources of the Ruby Installer team, we cannot entirely rely on
ourselves to provide adequate testing before a release.

Our goal is to provide a solid, stable release. So, our plan is to fix the
problems that have been reported, and then post a release candidate for
public testing. After a release candidate passes public scrutiny without any
major problems, we will then officially release it, and mark it as a stable
release.

If you have found a problem but have not yet reported it, please submit a
bug report at:

http://rubyforge.org/tracker/index.php?group_id=167&atid=715

as I am going to start working on it this weekend.

Curt

I really appreciate this. Please let me know how I can help with this effort.
