Hi
Is there a standard location for site_ruby?
I am finding that an install on Sun install at:
$PREFIX/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8
while Linux installs to:
$PREFIX/lib/site_ruby/1.8
On my FreeBSD system I have an old 1.6 install
at $PREFIX/lib/site_ruby/1.6, and I have a 1.6 and 1.7
install at $PREFIX/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.x.
Is there a method to the madness?

I fell asleep reading a dull book, and I dreamt that I was reading on,
so I woke up from sheer boredom.

It is all to do with the LSB (Linux Standard Base) and FHS (File Hierachy
System). These are a set of โguidesโ that distribution should try and
follow for file management layout (i.e. directory structure, etc).
It does vary however, between things like SunOS, Free/Net/OpenBSD, Linux
et al.
