Is there a Ruby Users Group or some such activity is Dallas-Fort Worth
area

There are a few of us here. Dave Thomas, co-author of Programming Ruby,
lives in the area. He and I and some others put an XP group together a while
ago and now it’s morphed into a Pragmatic Practitioners group. You can get
more info here: http://clabs.org/dfwpp (not the actual link, I just keep a
forwarding url at my own website cuz it’s easier for me to remember). We
have an informal lunch and a ‘less-informal’ evening meeting monthly – in
fact the lunch is scheduled for tomorrow.

I will be in Dallas over the week-end and early part of next week and was
hoping that I would be able to meet you folks just in case some such thing
was going on. Being serendipitous, what else ? Any way, no such luck.

But would be nice to shake hands with you and of course Dave, if you guys
are not too busy.
