Ruby17 eventually puzzled with ile

I downloaded ile and tried with ruby17 fresh compiled from freebsd
port. It seems to be completely puzzled with the %Q[…]-Syntax. The
file looks right to me when viewed with gvim (emacs ruby mode is also
completely puzzled). I broke down the long error log lines.
