Someone has been watching Ruby development closely
I would start cleaning up code instead of working on
features if people are going to be like that. Its
going to give Ruby a bad name :P. I'm suprised
someone hasn't already reported the memory leak in
string, io, eval, and dir to security focus yet

The current 1.6 version of Ruby and versions 1.8.1
and 1.8.2 pre1 and 1.8.2
pre2 are not affected by this issue.
Notice the "not affected".
