Is that the BEEP services stuff, or something to do with the beep

Anyone know the status of the ruby-beep project?
_ Dead... I don't think anything beyond setting up the
Sourceforge site was ever done. A full ruby-only implementation
of BEEP is a pretty large task, BEEP hides a lot of
really ugly code from the programmer.
_ Doing a ruby interface to the C beepcore library has
been on my list of things to do real soon now for at
least a couple years...
_ Booekr C. Bense

I was thinking mainly of http://beepcore-ruby.sourceforge.net/ but am curious to know of any ruby work on the beep protocol.
