Does anyone know whether in Rite class variables will still be
shared between class and its superclass? I think current behaviour is
really annoyning - should I post a RCR on that?

No, you don’t have to. Ruby2 class variables will be private to the
class, unless someone succeed to change my mind.
matz.

It’s different story. I’m only saying the scope of @@variable will be
restricted in the particular class in Ruby2.
