# Quik in Action - Sinatra App Quick Starter Template - qk/quik .:. The Missing Ruby Code Generator

Hello,

&nbsp;&nbsp;I've put together a quick starter template for Sinatra [1] web apps  
using the quik machinery. Try:

&nbsp;&nbsp;$ quik new sinatra # or  
&nbsp;&nbsp;$ qk n sinatra

&nbsp;&nbsp;This will download and run the sinatra.rb [2] quik starter wizard  
script. Resulting in:

&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> Hello from the sinatra quick starter wizard script  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\>  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> Q: Name of the sinatra app? [hola]: hola  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\>  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> Thanks! Ready-to-go. Stand back.  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\>  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> Downloading Sinatra Starter Template...  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> Setting up Sinatra Starter Template...  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> ...  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> Merging templates...  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> name: "hola"  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> klass: "HolaApp"  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> ...  
&nbsp;&nbsp;\>\> Done.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Resulting in:

&nbsp;&nbsp;hola  
&nbsp;&nbsp;├── config  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\> ├── boot.rb  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\> └── database.yml  
&nbsp;&nbsp;├── app.rb

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That's it. Not your Sinatra template style? Add your own wizard script.  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Cheers.

PS: The qk/quik command line tool now includes a new list wizards  
(list, ls, l) command. Try:

&nbsp;&nbsp;$ quik ls

Resulting in:

&nbsp;&nbsp;1..gem .:. Gem Quick Starter Template  
&nbsp;&nbsp;2..gem-hoe .:. Gem Quick Starter Template (Hoe Classic Edition)
