People in/near Austin, Texas?

Who here is in or near Austin, Texas?

By “near” I mean within 200 miles or so.

If you’ve received mail from me in the
last 24 hours, you’re already on my list.

This seemingly off-topic post is an attempt
to garner support for the upcoming Ruby
Conference (November 14-16, 2003).

One mustn’t forget to look in one’s own
back yard…

Cheers,
Hal

Hello everyone –

You are cordially invited to pre-register for Ruby Conference 2003, at:

http://rubycentral.org/prereg.html

The Conference will be held in Austin, Texas, November 14-16, 2003.
The pre-registration site includes more information about when, where,
and how much the conference is, to help you estimate your interest and
make your plans.

Pre-registering does not incur any obligation on your part (or ours
 but it will help us tremendously in planning and budgeting the
conference. Even if you’re not planning to come, you can fill out the
form; there’s a “Not coming” (and why) option, and that information
will also help us.

Looking forward to hearing from many of you! If you have questions,
please contact me or questions@rubycentral.org.

Thanks –

David
for Ruby Central, Inc. and Ruby Conference 2003

Damn you people, setting RubyConf over my birthday weekend. Plus, it’s

Dossy,

Maybe it is time to re-examine your priorities  If it helps to ensure
your attendance, we will all sing “Happy Birthday” to you if you decide
to attend RubyConf. What could be a better birthday gift? Besides, I bet
Matrix 3 will be playing in Austin that weekend too

Hope you and many others will decide to attend. I’ve been fortunate
enough to make it to both of the first two and am very much looking
forward to this year’s conference…

Gee, I don’t know if I could pass up this opportunity. Have to get it
on video so we can put it up online, of course.

I /do/ want to attend. It’s just tough to get the contiguous block of
free time …

I’m trying to talk it up as much as I can this time. No doubt
over the next four months you will all get tired of hearing
about it… no worries, I’ll keep it to a reasonable level.

So it’s tough to get a Sat/Sun free? Man, just how hard
does your boss have you working?
