Why not just get a tattoo that says MINASWAN ???
It'll be a constant reminder to be good natured, and it's ruby related.

Make a big red ruby gem. If someday you'd be pissed off with Ruby, you
can easily convert the into a heart and write "Mom" inside of it. ![]()

I don't know what that means, but I would totally advise against
getting a tattoo of code in any particular language. Languages in the
tech world have a huge fashion component, the popularity of a language
is always driven partly by that language's merits and partly by who's
using what at any particular moment. If Ruby becomes the language
script kiddies favor, you'll be like, shit, I should have gotten a
Smalltalk tattoo instead (or whatever). Or you could become some huge
Haskell guru or God knows what. Maybe Arc will change everybody's life
if/when Paul Graham finally releases it. Maybe Perl will become cool
again. Who knows? Be sensible and old-fashioned and get a nice,
traditional tattoo of a naked chick with a devil tail riding some kind
of phallic military machinery.

I really like all the ideas. I don't think i could ever get mad at
Ruby. My job may force me to code in other languages, but when i come
home at night its ruby that is waiting for me. I understand that ruby
could just be a trend, but so could anything else i get a tattoo of.
Its a better idea then my girlfriend's name. Why not get a reminder
why i like to program ruby on my body(besides the nerdiness of it)? I
will have to see what my artist shows me ![]()
thank you all

Or you could get some snippet of lambda calculus or something. I don't think that will ever go away and there's no way "script kiddies" will be using it. ![]()

How about that same naked girl sitting on top of a Ruby gem?

Hmm, here are some late suggestions.
Maybe an image of Ruby Keeler? Ruby Keeler - Wikipedia
Or, even more obscure, the chemical formula Al2O3::Cr ?

Paul.

I'm fairly certain a naked girl can theoretically be incorporated into
any arbitrary tattoo design. On the other hand, I think there might be
aesthetic problems there.
