Is there any interest out there for a Ruby Net::AIM? I am thinking of
tackling such a project for automatic alerts from health monitoring
through AIM.

sounds really cool, but what does that gain you over emailing alerts?
Except that it could be a good way to monitor email (problem with
monitoring email is you end up having to email alerts, and that’s
hosed
