From Ruby: Calling a DOS batch file, waiting for it to finish

Help!

Can somebody point me at the best way to call a DOS batch file, and wait for
it to finish. The batch file itself will be running a number of commands,
including sqlloader. Ruby needs to wait for it to finish before continuing.

What is the way to do this please? Pretty please?

Thanks awfully!

Forget it - think I've just figured out the system call does just that
(unless anybody knows a good reason why I shouldn't go down this method?)

Hi Glenn

I am interested to know how you resolved your issue. I know that I am
years behind on requesting this...but thought I'd give it a shot.
Thanks
