I'm attempting to contact Richard Kilmer, the upstream maintainer of jabber4r
package for more then a month now, without any success, using two email
addresses, rich@infoether.com, and rich@rubyforge.org, which is supposed to
function as an alias.
I'm attaching my original post to upstream, and CC'ing this message to both
his email address and the ruby-talk mailing list, where I've seen his posts
from time to time during this period.

Subject: Debian package for jabber4r

Greetings.
I have started to dedicate some of my free time in order to package jabber4r
for the debian
distribution:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?archive=no&bug=207636
It is a usefull piece of code, which I'd like to be able fetch using
apt-get:-)
I hope you don't have any objection, which in case you have, I will cease the
packaging work, both from moral and practical reasons.
Idan.

I am here...sorry for the delay in reply, I have been socked in work wise.
It would be great to get a Debian package of jabebr4r. Please feel free to package it. Its got a BSD-style license...so its as free as...free.
Let me know if you need anything. Where do you want to host the file? I can put it on RubyForge.org.
Thanks,
Rich Kilmer
