cryptopunks gem v2.0, The Shell Edition - What's New? New Commands Incl. Generate, List, Query and Tile

Hello,

I added the Halloween special Scream, Jack 'O' Lantern, Joker, and

Frankenstein collections [...]. Happy Halloween

Wow. Thanks for the big Halloween update(s). I added an announcement
/ posting to the CryptoPunksDev channel [1].

Again sorry if I can't join in for now. (I plan to update to the
ruby 3.x series later this year (which I think is an installation
requirement). Keep it up. Cheers. Prost.

PS: The latest pixel punk update to quote the CryptoPunksDev
announcement / posting reads:

Pixel Punk Archetype / Design Going "Faceless" And Universal / Unisex
- Version 0.1 - Two Human "Faceless" Variants w/ Same Face Size and
Eyes / Nose / Mouth Position for Male / Female ( See the faceless
punk experiment page and script(s) - yes, in ruby - for more [2] )

[2] https://github.com/cryptopunksnotdead/cryptopunks/tree/master/faceless

Good news! I packaged the CryptoPunks GUI app as a native Mac
executable (APP & DMG):

In fact, a Mac download link is included near the top of the project page:

I have not tested on machines other than one of my laptops, so please
give me feedback if it does not work on your machine.

Cheers,

I spoke too soon. Apparently, when I started testing this on other
machines, I encountered issues with running Ruby due to missing
dependencies.

Packaging a Tk app is too green still, so I axed it from the project
page for now. Glimmer DSL for Tk does not support any packaging
options yet, so I was merely experimenting with writing my own script,
not realizing Ruby has an enormous number of external dependencies
that need special handling.

It does work on a system with an already installed Ruby though (as a
Mac app.. haha). Not quite ready for prime time though. I wish Ruby
was a lot more self-contained like JRuby is. Packaging JRuby apps is a
breeze in Glimmer DSL for SWT by comparison.

Anyways... later...

Wow. Thanks for first for trying to put together an all-in-one easy
to install app package.

Sorry for not responding sooner and helping with testing. I still
run on an old - yes, Windows installation -
and have no access to an Apple Mac. That's my excuse.

     Keep it up. Cheers. Prost.

CryptoPunks GUI should run on Windows too given the reliance on Tk. In
fact, given that I did not test
GitHub - cryptopunksnotdead/cryptopunks: (crypto) pixel punks - libraries, tools & scripts, and more on Windows yet, that
makes you the perfect candidate to test it! So, your excuse is in fact
a non-excuse or a reverse-excuse to actually do the testing! Haha.

In any case, I got some good news! Given the always changing nature of
Punk Collections (it seems you come up with new ones every few days),
I just released a version that externalizes the configuration of
CryptoPunks Collections into a web YAML file:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AndyObtiva/cryptopunks-gui/master/cryptopunks-collections.yml

That means from now on, you can submit Pull Requests to the repo
(GitHub - cryptopunksnotdead/cryptopunks: (crypto) pixel punks - libraries, tools & scripts, and more) to update available
collections. They are not harded coded into the code anymore. Updating
the YAML file suffices to update the application collections without
requiring consumers to install a new gem version anymore.

Last but not least, I added the Green Punks
(https://i.redd.it/uwrsn2lrr3o71.png), Clown Punks
(https://i.redd.it/ut0kk25heex71.png), and Bubble Gum Punks
(https://i.redd.it/hjddd1s8ydx71.png) collections.

Cheers,
