Are there any O'Reilly Ruby books on the horizon?

Are there plans to publish “Programming Ruby” (pickaxe) Second Edition any
time soon?

I’m not aware of any. To be honest, the Ruby book market, despite the
activity in this list, is not huge. Looking at the Amazon rankings for
all the Ruby books, I’d say that none of the publishers are currently
greatly motivated to produce a second edition. However I might be
wrong. You could try writing to Addison Wesley and asking.
