Hello.
I can’t make it past the first hurdle. What am I missing?
$ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.ruby-lang.org:/src login
Logging in to :pserver:anonymous@cvs.ruby-lang.org:2401/src
CVS password: (typed ‘anonymous’)
cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.ruby-lang.org(210.251.121.214):2401 failed: Connection refused
Thanks,

I believe that the CVS password is, indeed, “(anonymous)”, not “anonymous”.

Lyle adds, “me too” (did a fresh checkout this afternoon using
“anonymous” as the password, no enclosing parens).

It looks like it’s the IT security folks on my end. When I’m connected
to the internet by other means, I can pull things without a hitch…
Thanks for the info,
