Chilkat Upload for Ruby was released today. The upload class (CkUpload)
is freeware and runs on Win32 platforms. The Chilkat Upload class provides
the ability to upload files over HTTP to a web server. It has the following
features:
- Synchronous and asynchronous uploads.
- Abort capability for asynchronous uploads.
- Progress monitoring for asynchronous uploads.
- Add custom header fields to the multipart/form-data HTTP request.
- Add name/value parameters to the multipart/form-data HTTP request.
- Fetch HTTP response status code, header, and body.
- Set timeout and chunk size.
- Large files are uploaded in streaming mode to keep the memory
footprint small and constant.
- Upload to memory (to create a full multipart/form-data request in memory)
- Transparent support for SSL will be implemented shortly.
- Proxy support will be implemented shortly.
